Glacier_g_rt
I'm wondering if anyone with the Martin Fabrication auxiliary lights has the same problem I have and has a fix for it. After pressing the on/off button the blue led illuminates but the driving lights don't turn on. I have to tap on each of the lamp housings to get them to turn on. This is required every time I power off the lights that the lamps need a tap to turn on. Anybody have a clue with what's going on? Thanks. Link to comment
dirtrider
Afternoon Dave I know nothing about Martin Fabrication auxiliary lights but I do know electrical circuits. As a rule, when you have to tap a light housing to get the light to come on it is either-- -A loose bulb in the socket Or -A bad ground connection, or poor bulb to housing to chassis ground connection. Or A bad power connection Or Failed bulb filaments that only complete connection when jarred. If your grounding is through the housings (no separate ground wire) then that is where I would personally start looking. Link to comment
Glacier_g_rt
Thank you. They are mounted where the front fender bolts are. Two wires, one of which goes to the negative post on the battery. Guess I will have to disassemble the lights from the look of it. This helps. Thanks again. Link to comment
