Doug_Baliko
I have a new GS-911 that I set up on my PC and use with my iPad. Everything works great at home using my WiFi network. My question is using it on the road. Do I need to make a WiFi hot spot on the road with my iPad or is there another wireless way for the GS-911 and the iPad to communicate? Sorry if this Is a dumb question. Doug Link to comment
lkraus
The GS-911 can serve as it's own "hotspot" to connect with your iPad, independent of cellular or other wi-fi service. This link should help: http://www.hexcode.co.za/gs-911wifi-setup. Follow the instructions for "Device-to-Device" mode. There is a great deal of useful info on the hexcode site, but it is very difficult (or impossible) to find using the site's menus. Google is your friend. I'd suggest saving not only the link above but the actual content to your iPad. You may not have internet access when you need the info. Link to comment
