Paul Mihalka
As I see several posts from K1100LT owners, I'd like to mention a couple of things I did to my '94 K1100LT. The soft rubber mounted handlebar was driving me crazy. I found some large washers with a small hole, and installed them on the bolts under the triple clamp where the rubber mounting bolts end. This clamped the rubber to the triple clamp and no more movement. I found the fork action way to soft and mushy. The K1100 bikes, LT and RS, have a peculiar fork, made I think by Ceriani. All the rebound dampening is in the right fork leg, all the compression dampening is in the left leg. After some trial and error I settled with 15 weight fork oil in the right leg and 7.5 weight fork oil in the left leg, standard quantities. It made for a compliant but well controled ride. Just don't mix up the two sides. Remember Right is for Rebound. Link to comment

ShovelStrokeEd
I think that fork is Marzochhi (sp) I have similar forks on my Moto Guzzi. Thanks for the tip. Link to comment
keithb
I had a 93 K11RS for 11 years and here are a few things I did to improve handling. 1. Progressive fork springs, Works Performance shock 2. changed the fork oil to a higher viscocity 3. Put K75C bars on it which raised them 4. Single most important suspension change was to drop the front end 17 mm which made the bike steer much shorter and quicker. Along with the shock and fork change it was a hoot to ride after that.
