BMW Alley Lights?

Does anyone have any direct experience with the BMW police bike alley lights? I am trying to decide on these versus just surface mount LED work lights. Oodles of choices on Amazon. I know I will have to do some wiring, not an issue. Don't need any flash patterns, just steady light. Don't want Amber, and certainly not red or blue lights.

If these are from Code 3, Whelen, or one of the usual suspects, and you have a part number, that would be great.

Please do not respond to this thread if you are just posting what you find on the Internet -- already did that. If you don't know what alley lights are, here is a picture:

On LEO cars, we just had flood lights and a rocker switch.

Most anything in flood pattern will work IMO. I have Mondo motos MM10 lamps here on my bike, looking forward as a flood slaved to the high beam, and would work in your application. I hung them on these:

Twisted Throttle Denali .

Note that if you do turn a lamp 90 degrees to the side, you may very well end up with a whistle at speed. That could drive one to look at flat LED panels.

I have them on my RT-P escort bike in white. They are very bright and could be turned on steady and used as a work light. if you are putting them on the front of the bike, I would go with the front facing square BMW Police Take down lights. They are a flat square light that is very bright and I believe they have have a factory mount that mounts them just above the mirrors. The lights are made by Code 3 for BMW, I believe BMW could look up the part numbers at the dealer and order them.

Thanks for the info. Really only want side-facing lights though. Was talking to a local LEO rider today and he wants them too :)
