walton66
I dropped a parking light bulb down into the headlight housing. Sometimes I should leave well enough alone but I have this compulsion to know how the knee bone connects to the thigh bone. Anybody ever pulled their headlight lens off on a 2013? Thanks from dumb a$&. Bill Link to comment
TEWKS
Could you fish it out with something like this? Pat Link to comment

LBump
Perhaps a rare earth magnet attached to a coat hanger or wire rod. Good Luck! Link to comment
The Rocketman
Fill the headlight housing with water, and the parking light bulb should float up to the top. (Never mind...that was for something else) Turn the bike upside down and shake vigorously? Sorry...too much time on my hands. Back to work to do something constructive.... Link to comment
The Rocketman
I spoke too soon, Bill. Read this: http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=914802Post914802 Link to comment
walton66
I saw this morning. I was staring at mine last night trying to see how to take the whole thing out. I went for a short ride and the bulb bounced into some crevice amd can't be seen. Well, with a small flashlight I can make it out but without taking the whole lens assembly out I cant see how to get at it. Link to comment
The Rocketman
Since part of spring fell inside the assembly as well, I'll let you know how the removal goes. Link to comment
Selden
[rant on]Having replaced an H4 bulb on an R1100RT a few days ago, why can't motorcycle manufacturers make this task a little easier for owners?[/rant off] Link to comment

The Rocketman
You can count on it. The part is on its way. I'll probably start disassembly sometime tomorrow. I plan on following these instructions to get me started: http://www.bmrider.com/images/reports/R12RT%20Front%20Nacelle%20Removal%20Part%203.pdf Link to comment
