Skywagon Posted November 7, 2014 Share Posted November 7, 2014 ahh how I remember the oil dance of my R1150RT. I left my new 1200rtw bike on the side stand for a couple of days. The site glass is on the other side. It is on the right side. Before I took off this morning I looked in the window and no oil showing. It has 1100 miles since oil change so I knew it was an oil dance routine....so I put it on the center stand and here is what is different than my 1150. Within 10 secoonds the oil window was filled. No more waiting 5 - 10 minutes. It's pretty much instant. Nice change. Link to comment
eej1 Posted November 7, 2014 Share Posted November 7, 2014 The hardest thing to get used to on my 2014 has been letting go of my incessant checking of the oil. My 2005 RT still used oil, but much less, at 80,000 miles. This one uses none. All the other good stuff is now second nature. Link to comment
