Last night I installed the WOLO Bad Boy horn from Harbor Freight. The horn was on sale for $38.99 and I used a 20% off coupon.

I spent some time looking over the pictures from

and made a bracket that looked just like the one they sell with their kit. I used a piece of flat bar 1/2" wide and bent it and drilled it with 2 - 5/16" holes. I removed the original horn and bolted the new horn in place using the lower front frame bolt on the bike. This bolt removes from the right side of the steering head. The nut on the left side is spot welded in place from the factory. I used a 3/8" nut as a spacer between the horn and the homemade bracket. The bolt, nut, and lock washer are supplied with the horn.

I mounted the relay as shown in the Hornig website and used Scotchlocks to tap into the existing horn wires. The power was obtained from the auxillary battery terminal. I plan to add an inline fuse to this line and will also use this wire to power my Gerbing heat control and Powerlet socket.

The horn works great! No need for loud pipes when your horn makes you sound like an 18 wheeler
