Doug_Baliko
When using the cruise control on my previous '07 RT as soon as I engaged the cruise it would stay at that speed immediately and hold the speed right on even on up and down inclines. However, when I engage the cruise on my '12 I'm getting some engagement hesitation. For example, if I engage the cruise at 75 mph and take my hand off the throttle the speed will drop to around 69-70 mph and then slowly rise back up to 75. And the speed will also drop 3-4 mph on an uphill incline at highway speeds. I'm not talking about mountains, just slight inclines on the freeway. Does anyone have a clue to what the issue might be? I guess I need to have the dealer take a look at it. Doug Link to comment
dirtrider
Afternoon Doug Possibly a mis-adjusted cruise control cable or even a sticky cruise control cable. (very easy to pull that cable partially apart at the center adjuster when servicing the bike) Or possibly the cruise control cable is slightly pulled out of the Bowden box. I suppose it could also be something in the cruise control electronics but the cable/ cable attachments would be top of my list to start with. Link to comment
Danny caddyshack Noonan
Mine does not do that. Link to comment
crawfcj
Mine does the same thing (2012 RT). My previous RT was an 07 and I do not remember any drop before resuming speed. Not that this is helpful! Link to comment
