HOMEMADE GPS MNT. FOR R1200RT

My first modification to my '05 R1200RT was to fabricate a GPS mount shelf. Its a simple shelf that is supported by the uppermost dash mounts. The Garmin SPlll mount is bolted to my shelf, and seems secure and very visible. The antenna has to be folded just a bit to clear the windshield in its lowest position. I also added an accessory plug that I wired directly to the battery, so the GPS can stay on, and also I can charge the battery thru it.

I haven't road tested it yet, but I think it will work fine.
