Tom Ferrell
Had an '06 RT with servo brakes and was told not to attempt brake flush myself. Now have a 2012 RT (with ABS). 1) Can I do the brake flush myself now? 2) Where might I find instructions? Thx. Link to comment
6speedTi
Tom I have a 2012 and did a brake fluid flush not too long ago. I installed these speed bleeders. They make it easy. http://www.speedbleeder.com/ http://www.speedbleeder.com/Motorcycle%20Sizes.htm#BMW BMW calls for DOT 4 fluid. I went one up and used 5.1 which has a higher wet boiling point so its more forgiving under heavy braking especially if your fluid is due for a flush. Do not mix DOT 5.0 with 5.1. Dot 5.0 is a silicone base. NOT COMPATIBLE. All I did was install the bleeders and then just pumped the brake lever for the front one caliper at a time and then the rear. Done in no time. Hope this helps. Link to comment

racer7
Your 12 is done just like any car. Simple. I find I can reach bleeder screw and front lever at the same time on mine so don't need to use speedbleeders or any other devices. Dealerships often gravity bleed. Link to comment
Forester
Go for it. The speed bleeders are very nice, especially if you are clumsy like me! Link to comment
