mickeym3
Height of the new seat is fine but I much preferred the comfort of the low seat on my old Camhead. I did 600-700 mile days on it but the new flatter design is a PITA for me. Anybody try BMW's low seat and have any input? Don't want to spend the $ and then have to turn right around and buy an aftermarket seat. Sure do love this bike.... Link to comment
RTster
I have 29" inseam, so went for the low seat. I could have managed with the regular seat. But I wanted the ability to firmly plant both feet on the ground if needed. I like the shape of this seat. It's not too wide between your thighs and has a nice curve in the middle. You do compromise a bit on the cushion layer, but I did a 300km non stop ride and didn't feel any discomfort. I am quite happy with it may not go for any aftermarket options. But that's just my opinion. This is my first RT so I don't know how it compares with previous models. Link to comment
brucewinter
Ditto: 29" inseam, and almost flat footed with the low seat, in the lower position. Not enough seat time to negatively comment, however I feel more secure and in control with the lower seat. Link to comment
Norm LeFevre
I'm looking forward to getting the low seat I ordered when I got my RT. 175#, 29". Link to comment
