RobinW
What a great week-end. We left Brisbane on a Friday morning and headed south the long way for a Saturday run around the New South Wales Tablelands with the BMW KBike guys starting in Guyra. I met dave half way to the Gold Coast and we road for an hour or two and stopped for a break this side of the border. I was on my R1100RT and he had to ride his F650 as that was all he could get to go We forgot about daylight savings and figured we would be an hour late regardless. The lesser used roads we chose where traffic free and had it all. Rain forrest, twisties and open sweepers. We tried to meet up with the other guys going south but didn't it rain. It slowed us up even more and we missed them. We all met up at Guyra, ready for the next day. We see a storm front moving in from the west on our phones and finally get into gear and go. We are just in front of this storm, but we are in front. Finally the ground level cloud lifts and we get some senery. Then it's a stop at Dorrigo for coffee. Now the weather is clearing and we have some senery on the way down the mountain to Coffs Harbour. Once in Coff's Harbour we met the rest of the guys coming up from the south. And we shoot up to the lookout before lunch. After lunch, near Grafton, it was a mad dash back to Guyra for a BBQ before it stormed again. What a great week-end. Link to comment

RobinW
It was fun all right. New bike for the next run in march though. Just sold an R1100RS and bought a K1100LT. Trumps the R/RT hands down. Way lighter .... Link to comment

RobinW
It feels lighter than the RT not the RS. The R/RT is staying right here for the time being Link to comment
