I plan to replace the front shock on my R1150rt this winter and would like input. Is there enough difference between Elka and Ohlins to justify the price? Link to comment

I went to my suspension guy and handed him my front shock, he looked at it, removed the spring, and pushed/pulled the shock like it was an accordion. he showed me the Elka shock and I bought it, loved it, I have 16,000km on it now. He also rebuilt my rear shock. I was out of there under 1000 bucks. In my area the rear shock-stock $1300 front $900 Link to comment
