BobsST
I had the plastic off the ST this weekend while running some wiring for the GPS. In doing so I found a white powdery substance on the gas tank and some of the front suspension parts. It looks like it originated from the top of the tank. Has anybody else run into this? I'm thinking gas spill or perhaps cleaner seeped between the plactic and didn't get rinsed off. No taste to the powder like battery acid or salts and no residual high from touching or tasting the powder - damn Link to comment

dioscouri
During the Christmas holidays I had my ST apart to install the GPS. I did not notice anything like you describe. Link to comment

BobsST
Thanks - makes me feel better that I'm not the only case. It's cleaned off so we'll see if it's back next time the plastic comes off. - Bob Link to comment
