Edgar Posted January 4, 2013 Share Posted January 4, 2013 I noticed that one of the faring mounting tabs on the foot rest plate was broken on a R1100RT. What material is the plate made out of, and has anyone had any success repairing / welding it? Link to comment
kmac Posted January 4, 2013 Share Posted January 4, 2013 They are cast aluminum and weldable. You are possibly better off looking for a replacement on ebay. My footrest plates may be listed in a few weeks.... if my project build starts to look like it is coming together well I will be selling off the unneeded parts like those. Link to comment
