Don't own one.

Don't sell the marque any more.

But, if I bought one, I'd ask before taking delivery all the pertinent questions of my dealer and RTM.

When we went down the delivery checklist we adlso went over

costs of scheduled maintenance and recommended fluids etc.

If your dealer didn't I'd be asking them why not?

Good luck.

Afternoon GT

I don't know the answer to your question but even if I did it could be as likely wrong as right.

On new vehicles BMW has a history of changing things until the dust settles so there could easily be 3 service bulletins out for changing that oil level.

Just give your selling dealer a call. Have them put your VIN into their computer system & see if any service bulletins pertaining to final drive oil change. If no bulletins then have them give you the current level stetted in the latest 1600 service manual.

For what you spent for that bike your dealer should be more than helpful to you.

Thanks DR....Great dealer, answered everything I asked. I guess I'm not very good at listening. It will all come together.

Great bike...and it is a kick in the ass to ride!
