Raven
I recently sold my RT and have a RAM base that is a machined aluminum cylinder with a flange. It has a RAM ball screwed into the top and fits in the center of the triple clamps where BMW places that nice black plastic plug. Right over the steering stem. It remains in place from the friction of the two "o" rings placed around the outside circumference. I cannot for the life of me remember who made this item or if it is even still available. If anyone can help me identify it it would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment
DanP
I use the same mount on my 1100RT and purchased it from Cyclegagets.com. I just briefly went through their website but didn't run across it. The base was not made by RAM, but the ball was and the 2 piece combo unit was BMW specific and marketed as "Ram Compatible".
