David R Posted September 2, 2012 Share Posted September 2, 2012 Bike handles well. 2012 R1200R. At 75 mph it beats me up. Shock right up my back and shoulders from big expansion joints . I tried a bunch of settings with out much luck. With rebound all the way open, I get a double bump. I set sag to 46 mm. Rebound at factory is not much better. Otherwise, awesome bike. Link to comment

David R Posted September 2, 2012 Author Share Posted September 2, 2012 Today I had a passenger. I cranked up the preload and we went for a ride.  Boing Yy Yy Yy  like the rear tire is bouncing. She said it rides rough. Rougher than my Versys.  I turned the rebound to one turn out instead of most of the way out and it rode MUCH better. Nothing up my back. My butt stayed on the seat and tires stayed on the road.  We are both used to my 00RT which was the most comfortable bike I ever have been on.  Tomorrow more experimenting.  3 days old, 650 miles on it. I changed the oil and filter at 200. Will check valve adjustment soon and change the oil again at 1,000 miles.  I hit the rev limiter once today.  Seat goes out this winter for some better foam and heaters. Tire pressure is at factory reccommended 36/40 Link to comment
