Headers

I'm thinking about putting headers on my '00 R1100 RT. Has anyone done this? I would like opinions about the performance increase that I may expect from the $550 Wunderlich Headers.

[Boffin]

No performance increase can be expected from exhaust mods on oilheads. The stock setup is pretty well optimised for the stock cams etc. Loosing the cat and will loose a fair amount of weight, but from low-down where its impact is minimal.

 

The three bests performance mods for these bikes are:-

1. Shocks - fit Works or Ohlins.

2. GS intake tubes, switches some top-end power to the more usefull mid-range.

3. Track school - this will make all of your bikes quicker.
