Socket size for spark plug removal

I know it's a deep socket but not sure of the size for a 2011 GS. Help?

It's 16mm on the earlier (04-09) models, but I believe the later ones are 14mm.

However, the important part is be sure you have a thin walled socket.

Or grind one thin. The socket can stick into the spark plug bore and be extremely difficult to get out.

It is 14mm & needs to be a fairly deep socket. If not deep enough the drive extension square end won't go into the socket top far enough.

 

On the CamHead 14mm spark plug socket it really doesn't have to be a real thin wall socket as the OD of the socket is much less than the older 16mm sockets were (those needed to very thin walled).
