Handlebar Lock?

My 2011 R1200RT learned a new trick yesterday -- the handlebars will no longer lock using the key. Before I take it to Bob's, does anyone have a quick fix?

Mine will not lock on full left, I have to turn it back to the right or wiggle it while turning the key to lock position.

 

May not be your issue though.

I haven't used a handlebar lock in at least 10, no, more like 20 years.

I never saw a reason to do it.

And the last time I did do it, the lock jammed and I had a very difficult time getting it to unlock.

So now I don't even know if I have a lock or not.

A few years back at the Laughlin River Run they had video of 2 guys in the parking garage at one of the hotels putting locked up Harley's on skate boards and rolling them into a U-haul ,,If they want it,,They well get it,,,,,
