St George Utah to Alpine City Utah via Moab

I'm thinking I am ready for a road trip. I keep looking for places and routes I've never done and St George Utah to Alpine City Utah via Moab seems to look promising.

Anyone have route thoughts or comments? I'm thinking the 2nd or 3rd week of August Monday through Friday.

Gregg, I am not able to identify Alpine City. Do you mean Alpine, UT just west of Mt. Timpaganos Cave? If so, I might have an opinion or two and will share... after clarifications.
