Bradkap Posted April 30, 2012 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Just picked up a 2011 R1200RT, had 3200 miles, I just rode it one and put 300 more miles on it. It is likely way late for its first service. What should that cost ? Also, how many miles rears you all seeing out of the stock Metzlers ? Link to comment
rvickery2 Posted April 30, 2012 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Just finished a SS1000 on my stock Metzlers. The rear now has 7700 miles and still has what looks like plenty of tread. I hear they look great one day and cords the next so I'm keeping an eye on it. It is starting to square a little but I know some are getting close to 10K from the rear. I keep it inflated and watch closely. Link to comment

mickeym3 Posted April 30, 2012 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Do you mean the initial 600 mile service BMW recommends where they change oil and diff fluid? That's generally ~$300 but if you are that far overdue you need to discuss with your recommended dealer. Initial service doesn't normally include valve adjustment on a camhead but may be an exception in this case. Link to comment
