Fuel Sensor: Strip or Float?

How can I tell if my 2011 R1200RT has a fuel strip (problem prone) or a fuel float? I have checked microfiche at a couple of vendor sites and they show a fuel strip, yet some new posts point to a return to the float. Thanks

The RT switched back to a float with August, 2010 production, so your 2011 has a float.

 

If you recheck the online parts fiches, you'll see the part number changes 08/10.
