GordonB Posted December 4, 2005 Share Posted December 4, 2005 My 1100RT Will start in Nuetral w/nuetral lite on (it's sometimes a little slow coming on though). It will nolonger start though in first gear with sidestand up..... I know there's a safety switch somewhere, where to look???? Link to comment

bigboy Posted December 4, 2005 Share Posted December 4, 2005 hey gordonb first i would look at the clutch switch , located behind your clutch handlebar lever. if this does not work look at the neutral/ gear selection indicator that,s a sob to do its infront of the swinging arm big strip but you could always do a splinelube whilst you have the bike apart. kind regards and happy riding STAY UPRIGHT DEREK Link to comment
Jim Moore Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 It is probably the clutch switch. You can cut the wire going to the lever housing. The wire, not the cable. Inside the black wire are two yellow wires. Strip 'em and wire them together. Now the bike thinks the clutch is in and will let the starter turn. Link to comment
