ChuckS
I am still having troubles with my battery / charging system, so I need to add a switch to turn on and off my goodies. The question I need help with is should I run the power or ground to the switch? Link to comment
Joel
The question I need help with is should I run the power or ground to the switch? What about a relay? It isn't for an RT, but you can find good info about wiring up a relay and accessories HERE. Link to comment
Jim VonBaden
I am still having troubles with my battery / charging system, so I need to add a switch to turn on and off my goodies. The question I need help with is should I run the power or ground to the switch? I installed a Blue Seas fuse boxto simplify adding accessories. I used a 30 amp relay to power it so that it is always off with the key off. Jim Link to comment
FIRST_BEEMER
Install a Fuse Box. Wire the box with a relay from a keyed power source. This way you`ll never forget to turn it off like with a switch. Also a switch will not carry the load and can cause you problem later like a fire. Link to comment
ChuckS
Done. Added a switch overkill with 12ga wire, 3 way Gnd, power, acc. Ran the acc to the Blue Sea fuse box already installed power side. So this morning after I pulled away I hit the switch and volla' on came my Escort, XM and autocom so I could hear it all!
