Steve_Reinig
I was reinstalling front fairing and was ready to install headlight. Long story made short but part of the built in reaining clamp holder on the headlamp assembly which is white, broke. The retaining wire that holds the bulb can no longer stay in place. Are there any quick solutions or is this one of those expensive visits to the dealer to buy new headlamp. Are there alternative headlamp assemblies. I am reading the alternative parts list but do not see anything. Any help is very much appreciated. Without that retaining clip the head light would vibrate and move around. Link to comment
Ken H.
Unfortunately the socket ass'y is part of the bike's front wire harness and is not sold separately. Your best bet might be to start checking with the bike salvage places. Link to comment
Steve_Reinig
Ken: I actually solved the problem. Took some craft wire and wrapped it through the retaining clip to the white housing and now the retaining clip works and I can still change bulbs on the road if needed. Link to comment
