SkidMark
Hey guys, when my RT is on the center stand and in gear...how much play should I see when I move the rear tire back and forth? Link to comment
Ken H.
Lots and lots.LOL! Now then, for some useful information... There should be no detectable play when you try to rock the wheel top to bottom at 12 and six o'clock. Nor left to right at nine and three o'clock. If there is any you need to look to see if the play is from within the final drive (bad) or at the pivot bearings that mount the final drive to the swing arm (not so bad to fix) or the front pair that mount the swing arm to the transmission. cjmkerns
Ken, I thought Skidmark was talking about rotational play. In which case "lots & lots" is a good answer. If not, you got it covered. Regards, Carl Link to comment
