Is it the same ridiculous 6000 mile like the R bikes, or is it a more Japanese 12000 or 24000 miles? My buddies who ride Wings and Valkyries have the valves checked at 36000 and there may be two valves of 12 that need a tweak. Link to comment

Someone will provide technical details soon, but until then .... The new GT computer, like the S and R, computes max rpm, speed, temperature, and probably a few other things into an algorithim that decides if your valves need checking at 9k or 15 k (or in between). There is no magic feeler gage, just an educated guess by the ECU. Hopefully the valve check is fairly easy and therefore, relatively inexpensve. We will know soon.
