Buster
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but has anyone discovered a suitable, less expensive alternate for the BMW oil filter wrench? Link to comment
Tucker2930
Just received my metal filter wrench. Tool is well made. Tool and shipping to Texas cost $18.40 Check it out at http://www.motobins.com/index.php Link to comment
Auto1
I use a simple filter wrench from auto zone that wraps around the filter and squeezes. This has not been an issue for me. Link to comment
Ariene
Mine came from Motobins also , first class construction fits like a custom made glove! Link to comment

Buster
So, the filter sticks down far enough from the engine to get that strap wrench on, eh? Sorry to say I didn't look at the bottom of the motor before I posted - my bad. Link to comment

ShovelStrokeEd
Looks to me like 18 bux worth of shavings to carve that thing out of billet. Course, you don't have to stand there working the feeds, do ya? I'll take one next time you feel up to carvin' some more. A nice spacer for the top of my shock on the XX about 6mm high wouldn't hurt either. The rest of the order will have to wait till I get another desk top so I can get Autocad up and running again.
