BOOCH Posted November 17, 2005 Share Posted November 17, 2005 Yo Guys, Can anyone tell me how you remove the plastic from the 1200RT. I want to check the airfilter. I also need to remove the header pipe and it looks like it would be easier to get to the plug for the oxygen sensors,with the panels off. Help Steve Link to comment
wardyRT Posted November 17, 2005 Share Posted November 17, 2005 It's fairly simple, bro. All the torx are the same size, basically. Take off the upper side fairings (don't forget the power plug on the left), work down from the windshield, take off the mirrors, tankbag mount, dash and lowers et, voila, she's naked! All the bolts are in view; the fairings come off easier than my GT ever did. 'Course, undressing the '03 K was an artform unto itself; ya did it fer everything up to puttin gas in it! Good luck, man.
