Louisianaman
Headed to mc museum around 6-23 and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on road rides in the area. Probably ride for day or two before turning toward home. Link to comment
ERdok
In addition to the Barber museum, there are lots of great roads in the area. Here are a few: 25 (Leeds to Vincent) Tabor Rd/Lookout Mtn Parkway/176 (Gadsden to Little River Canyon) 281 Cheaha Mtn State Park 49 (from Cheaha Mtn/281 to Lineville) 55/Rabbit Town Rd (NE of Oxford) 57/Cottaquilla Rd (N of Anniston/Oxford) 51/Duck Springs Rd (NW of Gadsden) 231 N of Pell City 77 S from Talladega ... A friend and I are heading up that way for a few days on 6/15 - if you decide you want to go earlier, PM me... Rick Link to comment
roadscholar
Cheaha Rd. (CR 42) from Curry up to Cheaha SP, it's a rollercoaster. County Rd. 7 from Goodwater to Chandler Springs is real nice too. There's some surprisingly good riding in East central Alabama, plenty of others. Link to comment
tallman
Guess it's OK to spill the beans, he isn't a yankee. Fun to check out those roads from google/earthview kind of perspective. Link to comment
