Tommy_Boy
Any suggestions on what to use to protect the sides of the tank from getting worn? Only a few hundred miles and the paint is already showing wear from my cordura-clad knees. Thanks in advance! Link to comment

I've never seen it on a bike, but it looks like it might do what you need. I've seen it sold on eBay. Link to comment
jackflash
I'm with Budda. All I want is two 4" round pieces of the plastic stick on stuff to protect the paint where my knee rubs on the paint. I don't need a kit which is outrageously expensive. Anyone know where I can get the stuff? Link to comment
bmwscoot
Guys, Here are a few places where you could buy the bulk paint protect film. Then just make your patterns, and do it yourself! For me I am not only going to do the tank 'knee area', but really have to do the top of the bags... THAT spot is just waiting for my boots to do in the paint. www.clearmask.com www.Invisiblemask.com www.xpel.com Link to comment
RoyTemple
I have used this on the tops of my sidecases with good results. I think it would work fine for your application. http://www.aerostich.com/product.php?productid=16210&cat=0&page=9 Link to comment

Rich_S
Check out www.thetankslapper.com They have the film already precut. I've used their product on my last two bikes and it works great. Link to comment
