marcopolo
When I'm on long cross-continent rides in North America, I generally bring: - a GPS (with the appropriate maps, of course). I use a Garmin 276C; - cell phone (I only use when it's urgent, given that I'm a resident of Canada and I'm often riding in the U.S. where the roaming charges are very high. Generally I make long-distance calls using a calling card and a land line phone, which is much much less expensive); - digital camera (Canon); and - netbook (a small laptop). I use an Acer. Caddis
We also take the same things on that list: - GPS (Garmin 220) - Cell phone (AT&T service) - Digital camera (Lumix with 12x zoom) - Netbook (Gateway) I have never used a SPOT tracking device, but you might want to consider that if anyone wants to track your progress.
