Insignia/Best Buy DVD Player error FIX!

I freakin' LOVE the internet! I've been searching for a solution to this annoying intermittent "NO DISC" error problem for about a year for an otherwise great player that streams Netflix and Pandora.

From the write-up in the link you provided it sounds like the same problem that happens with mechanical computer mice - junk collecting on the ball causing slippage of the internal mechanism.

Interesting. Been having this problem intermittently now with a Sony CD/DVD player that's about 10 years old. Don't use it much anymore thanks to MP3's, music channels from Comcast, and a BluRay player, but I still have it. Will remove the cover and try cleaning the hub one of these days.
