ttsakai
Hi All- I'm planning on replacing the o-rings on my fuel line disconnect fittings. Is there anything I should do to them prior to putting them on (lubricant, etc.)? Or do I just install them "dry" as is? Thanks in advance for the input. Link to comment
Haynes
G'day Tracy, I put new ones on my RT and smeared a little oil on them before I pushed them in. The main thing to watch for is that you have the clip pushed back before you insert the male end. You need to hear the clip "snap" home to ensure the line is secure. Link to comment
Ken H.
Many mechanics lubricate fuel line O-rings with, fuel. Link to comment
99Roadster
I use a small amount of petroleum jelly for ease of assembly. Should be compatible with o-ring composition as well. Link to comment
