Skywagon Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 I did a clutch bleed today on my 05 1150RT. I hate to admit it but it has been almost 3 years. I was very surprised it came out clear even after three full reservoirs. Trying to remember if that is normal for a clutch. I did the brakes a few weeks ago and they were the usual chocolate mess. Fugu Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 Suprised you didn't get a first shot of coffee colored stuff. Usually goes away fast as the system doesn't seem to hold a lot but I always seem to get a dirty first 1/4 of my bleed bottle (which is pretty small - if I had to guess I'd say 1/4 of a cup of brown stuff total before it starts to run cleaner) Maybe there's some hidden in there that doesn't flush out easy... maybe that's why they die sometimes.
