OlGeezer
I just set a personal best for sync'g throttle bodies. Here's a recap:In Removal of tupperware: 10 mins Warm up and sync'ing: 20 mins Reattaching tupperware (including ALL body screws): 30 mins Total: 1 hour! Yippie! The test ride is going to take longer than that! Link to comment
OlGeezer
I was right. The test ride was longer than the procedure. It was a sweet ride up the Coast Hwy from Dana Point to Long Beach. A light rain didn't even dampen my spirits. Link to comment
aterry1067
Too bad I'm not in SoCal. I'd let you get another practice round in on mine. Seriously, that was fast. Good on ya mate. Link to comment

tallman
Valve check? I always did mine after the valves were OK'd. Takes me an hour to decidde to take tupperware off. Link to comment
AviP
I just realized what would make Tech Daze more interesting: competition. There would be categories: Tupperware removal, TB sync, Tupperware installation, Fuel Filter change, Brake Pad change, Oil change, etc. $2 entry fee and and the reward would be a BMWST t-shirt. Or beer! Link to comment

No, I'm inbetween services and just recently installed new throttle cables. I got them installed late in the day and did a crappy job of sync'ing tbs. As you know, this is the single most important task in making a boxer run smoothly. Although I achieved a personal best, I really took my time during the syncronization process. Link to comment
