moshe_levy
Guys- In futzing around with my new Sony HDTV (HX800 Series) I'm finding there are a zillion variables re tuning the picture. I'm wondering if there is a guide or some other way of tuning against some objective, known standard. I ask because years ago, I remember the IT geek at work tuning his TV using a DVD that displayed a still picture, which gave some reference to tune against. Can anyone point me in the right direction? -MKL Link to comment
Aluminum_Butt
Here's a quick guide that tells you how to optimize the most common settings. A test DVD is the best method. Joe Kane Productions publishes one that gets great reviews on AV forums. They have a handful of products, including some professional level stuff. I'm planning to order the HD Basics one myself. The guide I linked to in the first paragraph has some additional recommendations on page 2 of the article. Link to comment
