KER
which one of these books does everyone recommend? Is one better than the other or are they about the same? Link to comment
Voyager
I prefer Haynes. Good pictures, oriented more toward the home mechanic, covers lots of variants of bikes. They usually give me a good idea of whether I should attempt the job or not from reading the description. I have a BMW FSM but mostly look at it for warnings and to get a good chuckle. The tech pages on this forum are the MOST helpfull, but they don't cover everything. I got a cheap Haynes on ebay so look there first (it was even hard bound!) My .02 Link to comment
GrumpyOne
I agree with Sid. Haynes is very easy to read and understand. I can see at a glance whether the job at hand can be done by me or I will have to take it to someone more capable. Link to comment
bigtim
KER, With all due respect to the prior posts I recently purchased a Clymers manual for my 03 RT. It is a very thick manual and has much more information than I suspect I will need, but it covers just about everything. I got mine from Amazon, three day delivery, no muss, no fuss. Link to comment
