Nice n Easy Rider Posted January 28, 2011 Share Posted January 28, 2011 Partial clips from an article today in the online version of our local paper: Most NC texting charges come from drivers over 25 RALEIGH, N.C. — Teenagers aren't the only ones to blame for erratic driving tied to cell phones. Most of the motorists ticketed under North Carolina's new texting ban are actually over the age of 25, and some are over the age of 60. More than 1,200 drivers have been cited since the law went into effect in December 2009, according to court records reviewed by The Associated Press. Violators face $100 fines, plus court costs. At least one person appears to have been cited for texting while driving a motorcycle. Link to comment

In nearby Toronto this week a Toronto Transit bus driver was photographed by a passenger as he was texting while driving. Next day a second driver had his picture taken while sitting in traffic. Both appeared well over 25. Link to comment
