KDeline
Getting another labtop, want to put my current Mapsource in it, but no DVD because I have downloaded the updates. The last disc I have is from 2006. How do you transfer it, then run the setup? Link to comment
bmurphypdx
Just a thought. Often when downloading, the downloaded file (install program) is saved to the hard drive. You might not even know it is there. If you are running Windows XP, look under My Documents and then in the Downloads folder. I see that I have a 56MB Mapsource file there (Mapsource_6162). Hope that helps. Link to comment
Starfighter
Go to Garmin site with new computer. Connect your GPS using web-updater.. When it says you have the current map, select "download anyway." It will then download mapsource to your computer. Link to comment
99Roadster
You'll need to install it from the original disc with the registration code and then update it and the map. If you don't have the CD contact Garmin and they can send you a link to the download. Link to comment
flars
"...You'll need to install it from the original disc with the registration code and then update it and the map..." Pretty sure this only pertains to City Navigator (i.e. the map set). Mapsource, the routing software, is free. Pretty sure Starfighter has it right. Link to comment
