Gregj Posted October 30, 2005 Share Posted October 30, 2005 I thought I would share with y'all an issue i had with my R1200RT over the last couple days. When I went to start my bike I did not engage the start button as squarley as I needed, and it did not crank to on. For whatever reason before the failed attempt to start was back to silence I hit the start button, and the dangedest back-fire I ever heard occurred. From that moment until repairs today the bike was very rough on idle. It ran OK at speed, but wasn't exactly right. I took it in today to discover I had blown out one of the throtte bodies. I was pretty impressed. Not sure this will save anyone any grief as this might have been a one in a million thing, but hey,, can't say you were not told. Warranties are good things Link to comment
