FLrider
Looking for an alternative to my run up to Mt. Dora. I'm usually on 75 to Leesburg, then heading E. Would like some back roads. No rush to get there. Any suggestions? Link to comment
roadscholar
Rich Edwards knows the answer to that one. Closer to Mt. Dora though, 702 (Youth Camp Rd.) east out of Center Hill is nice, then No.2 Rd. from west of Yalaha into downtown Howey is interesting too. Link to comment
RichEdwards
Try this: From St. Pete take I-275 to I-4 to exit 32 north (Rt. 98). Take 98 to Rockridge Rd. and turn right. Stay left on Rockridge Rd. when the road forks (Don't take Deen Still Rd.) Rockridge turns into Green Pond Rd. (a great curvy country road.) Greenpond ends on Rt. 33. Turn left on 33. Hwy. 33 runs into Rt. 50. Turn left on 50 and then, in a half mile, turn right on Hwy. 19 north. Turn right on CR 455, go about two miles and turn left on CR 561. Go about three miles and turn right on CR 48. After about four miles, turn right on CR 448. In one mile, turn left on Dora. Turn right on Beauclair and then left on Clayton. A left on 5th Ave. will take you into Mt. Dora central. Link to comment

hopz
If you want a scenic route from St,Pete to Mt.Dora...I suggest heading north on 41 to say... mid Georgia, find a back road to the Smokies, return via something to the East then arrive at Mt.Dora... Just sayn' Link to comment
