Dumb ABS question - do I have it?

So how do I know if my 1995 R1100R has ABS (without testing it). I have no paper work on the bike, I am sure there is an easy way to tell? Thanks

It will have a pair of ABS lights on the right side of your instrument cluster that flash every time yout start the bike up. It will also have exposed gear-like rings on the front and rear wheels that have sensors near them, that monitor wheel revs. It will also make a peculiar click/whirr/clank sound every time you start to pull away from a cold startup.

No problem. I have a '96 r1100r that is probably quite similar to your '95.

Didn't think that had power assist.

No power assist (thank heaven). No decals on mine, but then I think ABS was standard on models sold outside of the Con US.

I think the '99's, starting w/production in November of '98 is where the ABS became an option.
