Thinking about an 85 K100RS as a second bike - Comments?

This will be a 'spare' bike - mostly used as a loaner to friends visiting ATL ... seller is asking 1800 for bike with 169K on the frame and 10K on the motor - I'll take a hard look are the rest of the mechanics of the bike, really interested in your personal experience with and opinions of the K100

I've seen them w/over 350,000 miles.

Basically a very solid bike. Some quirks. Usually not working speedometer and fuel gauge. On hot days a lot of hot air coming from under the gas tank, and the tank itself can get very hot. But again, can be a good spare bike.
