RMJ
My state DMV needs the engine number for the title application for my newly purchased 1991 K100RS. Does anyone know where the number is stamped on the engine and how many digits it should be? Thanks Link to comment

RMJ
The eng, serial no. on the right side between the oil sump and transmission is MBM098745M73990XXXX. This number is quite different than previous BMW engine numbers I have owned. Does this no. make any sense to anyone? Link to comment

RMJ
The eng, serial no. on the right side between the oil sump and transmission is MBM098745M73990XXXX. I had it validated by a BMW dealership, but the state of Minneasota thinks the engine number is too long. Does anyone know how to decifier or validate it? Link to comment
