I always knew Elvis was big, but it took me a long time to figure out the genius of his music. He really was different than anyone else of his era, and invented a style that was unique.

 

Unfortunately, a lot of people only view him as a joke, focusing on the last few, tormented years of his life. That, of course, misses the point entirely.
