What's it really weigh?

While riding around the beautiful Rogue Valley of southern Oregon today, enjoying the fall foliage and great weather, my buddy and I swung into one of those unattended truck weigh stations.

While sitting on my bike, I weighed in at 860 lbs. (My buddy on his Road King topped out at 1100 lbs!!) So when I got home a few minutes ago, I weighed myself with all my gear on. That number is 208#. This morning at my usual weigh-in (naked) I was 186#.

So first question is: does it seem reasonable to be wearing (ATGATT) 22# of riding gear? And second question, doing the subtraction, and figuring about 3/4 tank of fuel being about 30#: gross 860 less fuel 30, less me 208 equals 622 with 2 sidecases and the small trunk, does this make sense? I thought the specs say 571# Guess I need to weigh the cases and trunk.

i don't know for sure, but the 571 number may also be without options such as abs and esa which may add 20-30 lbs to that number in addition to your cases. just a thought.
