K^2 Posted October 22, 2005 Share Posted October 22, 2005 The parts guy at the local BMW dealer said that the numbers for the brake pads for my '04RT were 34117660448 (front) and 34217660281 (back). That was confirmed by Chicago BMW, so that's what I ordered. The pads came and the backing is a copper color and they are dabbed with white paint color code. They look like the sintered metal type to me. Are these the correct pads for an '04RT? K^2 Link to comment

The back plate for pads on the bike now (what they came with new) are definitely not copper colored, so that's what threw me. Maybe BMW specifies the sintered metal as replacement to make sure that I'll need new rotors next time, too??? I suppose that I shouldn't complain too much. The original pads lasted 39k and only the back ones are toast. I just figured that I might as well do them all at once. Heck, if they just fit, I'll be happy. K^2 Link to comment
